The Hereford High School PTSA and the Agriscience Department are “Honoring the Past; Paving Our Way Into the Future” with a new partnership to install engraved bricks in the walkway leading up to Hereford Stadium.  The funds raised from the sale of the bricks will benefit both groups as they continue to work on behalf of Hereford High School students.

A message from the PTSA President:

We are excited to partner with the Agriscience Department in this endeavor.  Our mission has always been to collaborate with individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.   The HHS PTSA is committed to using the funds from this brick fundraiser to support our graduating seniors with scholarships, provide teachers with classroom enriching materials and equipment, to sponsor school spirit events for all students, and much more.

The plans for the brick walkway have been designed by Hereford Students.  The bricks will be installed as part of the Landscape and Turf Management curriculum.  It is truly a unique fundraiser.

The Hereford Community has a long history of supporting Hereford High School.  This is your opportunity to leave a lasting legacy at the school that has meant so much to the community.  Buy a brick and be a permanent part of “The Zone.”  -- Michelle Turnbaugh, HHS PTSA President

A message from the Agriscience Department:

Our Philosophy:

To provide the students of Baltimore County Public Schools an opportunity to develop real world skills through experiential and academically rigorous learning experiences in the Agrisciences while promoting the importance of agriculture in the progress of modern society.

The story of Agriculture in North Baltimore County is long and deep-rooted.  From Land Grants families continuing a long legacy of agricultural pursuits to relatively new endeavors using the soil and land to cultivate crops and livestock, one thing that has held this community together is the partnership between the schools and the agricultural community.  Starting in 1909, Sparks Agricultural School began growing that relationship with a purpose, to serve the community in helping to prepare the next generation for the opportunities that the future held.  This relationship continues today at Hereford High School where the last vestige of our agricultural heritage still takes root.  We look forward to the changing role of our Agriscience program in meeting the needs of the students and the community

With the renovation, we lost our barn, stables and animals.  This new walkway will help us to bring back part of the Agriscience program that made Hereford High School unique.  We hope that you will help us “Honor the Past; Pave Our Way Into the Future” by buying an engraved brick. – Jean Paul Bibaud, Chairperson, Hereford High School Agriscience Department
