MONROE MEMORIAL PARK BRICK FUNDRAISER

Throughout the history of this American nation, brave men and women have fought and died to protect and foster the ideals, freedoms, and aspirations of our country. The community of Monroe would like to honor all service men and women by creating a lasting tribute that would be both visible and beautiful for all to see. This effort, spearheaded by the Monroe Lion’s Club, will be in the form of a Memorial Park in the center of town.

The Town has donated 1.5 acres of land for that purpose. The Memorial Park is envisioned as a place of solitude where a person can reflect and remember the members of our armed services. The park will include plantings, benches, pathways, flags, and monuments to acknowledge the veterans who have served in all conflicts as well as in peace time.

Undoubtedly we all have a father, mother, brother, sister, other family member, or friend who served their country to protect our liberty and freedom. We may sadly remember some veteran who Lincoln once described as giving “the last full measure of devotion.”

Please join us and help support this effort by purchasing an engraved brick to honor a loved one who served, and encompass the gratitude you wish to express. Bricks will be included in the Park’s pathway.

Your purchase of a brick for $60 will cover the cost of producing the brick, plus a contribution toward construction of the Memorial Park. Your brick will include up to three lines of text of your choice. In appreciation of your support you will also receive a 4” x 4” replica tile that you can proudly display in your home.

Thanks for your support.
