Palestine Tomorrow, Inc., a
non-profit corp., is providing and encouraging Parks & Arts in Palestine,
Tx… for a better quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
This park commemorates Palestine’s
Railroad past since 1872, by recognizing the contributions of the railroad
companies’ employees, offices and yards located here and the
resulting
commerce.
Donations for a brick recognizing your family member or in support of the park start at $100 for a 4" x 8" brick engraved with the name.
The bricks will reflect the names of
generations of Railroad employees as well as friends and families who support
the park project.
Just as important as the history is
the future. This is an ongoing improvement initiative for quality of life for
citizens of today. It will be an
entrance park with art, sculptures, historical relics and stories and is
located at the junction of two major highways, across from the Palestine
Visitor Center.
The funds will be used for the
construction of the sidewalks, sprinkler system, lighting, signage, and
landscaping.
