On the design of the Palm Bay Never Forgotten Memorial, there were a number of leading external factors that were compelling to involve the entire Patriotic Community in Remembering the Fallen and celebrating the lives of the veterans here in Brevard county.

If all things go chronologically as well, at the completion of this memorial, it will define a generation of veterans and lead to no person ever forgetting the hardship endured to keep this country free.

The Palm Bay Never Forgotten Memorial Project will advance our cause in Patriotism that is lacking in our community today, by honoring our Veterans that were called to be part of something bigger than themselves.  They rose to the call because they wanted to protect a nation which has given them, and us, so much.

While the citizens of this great nation, walk down the Reflection Walkway, they will experience an interaction with the Seven Major Wars Memorial Epithets of the Veterans of each war who have gone before us. This infusion will continue to educate and energize our community with patriotism.

“The Reflection Walkway” represents the first colony-wide militia that was formed by the State of Massachusetts in 1636 to today’s largest military in the world, the United States Armed Forces.

This 38’ long x 6’ wide hallowed ground memorial is encompassed by empire grass, representing the beautiful lands from which we all come surrounds the memorial. As you enter the memorial, you will walk across red bricks lined with the names of our fallen brothers and sisters which leads you to the Pentagon Shape, which represents the United States Department of Defense Headquarters.

There will be 5 – 16” round concrete military branch insignia’s in a half moon shape representing the United States Armed Forces.

In the center of the Pentagon, there will be an enlarged replica of a POW/MIA Memorial Bracelet in the shape of a pentagon that will have the engraving of Palm Bay, Florida Veterans who have passed serving our Country, honorably.

As you reflect back down the walkway by reading each epithet of each War Memorial signifying the importance of that War to our Country, you will realize the importance of what the “American Soldier” has accomplished in all of the 7 Major Wars, which in return, will readdress patriotism in our community.

The first 50 Veterans to buy bricks will receive a 25 dollar gift card to Texas Roadhouse. Please bring identifying documentation such as a DD 214 or military ID to the Palm Bay Veterans Resource Center to receive your gift card.
