The Miracle League of Indian Trail, NC, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to building an accessible, rubberized surface baseball field and playground for children, adults and veterans with disabilities through generous donations from members of our community.

We believe “Everyone deserves a chance to play baseball” but it’s more than just a game. It’s about making new friends, building self-esteem and teamwork.

Andi Matysek, the mother of a Carolina Storm adult wheelchair softball player, asked the Town of Indian Trail if they would build a wheelchair accessible ball field in our town’s new Crooked Creek Park.

The Carolina Storm has been forced to practice on asphalt parking lots and travel 2-3 hours to the closest accessible ball fields.

We know we can remove the barriers that prevent these individuals from playing the game. However, after learning more about their struggles to be included in activities regardless of their ability we want our facilities to be accessible AND inclusive. In a public-private partnership with the Town of Indian Trail, that will happen.

Our field will be one of eight ball fields in Crooked Creek Park, not a standalone or isolated facility; and our playground will be designed to provide the opportunity for children with disabilities to play alongside their able-bodied siblings and friends.

We hope you will consider being part of our Miracle League team by purchasing an engraved brick to be installed on our walkway. You can honor or memorialize a special person, date, organization or event; or give as a gift.
