THE ALGIERS WALK OF FAME (Located at the George V. Rainey Education Center)
Hosted by Concerned
Citizens for a Better Algiers
Celebrating Algiers by
honoring members of the community past, present, and future who contribute or
have contributed to making Algiers a standout community in Greater New Orleans.
Algiers is the second oldest community in New
Orleans. Founded in 1719, the Algiers community is the Westbank anchor of
the City of New Orleans. Many standout citizens have worked, are working
and will continue to work to make Algiers great. Concerned Citizens for a
Better Algiers is creating The Algiers Walk of Fame, a historic, paved
walk consisting of personalized pavers honoring these citizens. The
Algiers Walk of Fame will be located at the Concerned Citizens of Algiers
headquarters.
You are invited to become a part of history! A donation of $200 will qualify you to showcase a brick in honor of a person who has helped to make Algiers great. The bricks will be laser etched with the names of these great people and monies raised will help continue the work of Concerned Citizens for a Better Algiers.
For additional information regarding our engraved brick campaign please Concerned Citizens for a Better Algiers at 504-362-1066.
