Gonzales Community Presbyterian Church
Engraved Bricks
Purchase an engraved brick in honor of a loved one and be a part of a community project to beautify the grounds of the Una Mesa Food Pantry and Segunda Vida Clothing Closet.
Each beautifully personalized brick dedicates a special place to honor and remember those we cherish. These timeless memorials are engraved with the names of family members, friends or pets. The bricks will be installed as part of a project to enhance and beautify the Gonzales Community Presbyterian Church’s Mission Annex that houses the Una Mesa Food Pantry and Segunda Vida Clothing Closet.
The Una Mesa Food Pantry and Segunda Vida Clothing Closet are located at the corner of 4th and Day Streets in Gonzales, CA. Each week as many as 75 families gather at the center to receive food and/or “shop” for free clothing. The project will improve the front dirt area of the facility to make it a safe and welcoming space for families and individuals. The area will be a place where families and friends can visit and relax while using the center.
The church has received a grant from the City of Gonzales’s Measure K Community Action Grant Program, which will partially fund the project. Measure K is a ½ cent increase to the sales tax approved by Gonzales voters in November 2014. Despite the grant award, the church needs to raise approximately $3,000 more to fully implement the project. Please help us reach our goal!
