About Us
Organized in 1971, the Hustisford Historical Society has restored the house which John Hustis built in 1851. The home was originally at the southwest corner of Memorial Park. In 1916, it was sold and moved outside of town when the park was donated to the village by Josephine Hustis and Florence Anthony in memory of their parents. In 1974, the Hustisford Historical Society purchased the house and returned it to its present location.
Since then the Shoe Shop and the Spinning Wheel Shop have been moved from Lake Street to join the display.
Make a Difference
The John Hustis House, the Shoe Shop and the Spinning Wheel Shop are in dire need of new siding. We are excited to share that through private donations, special events to raise funds and memberships we have raised enough dollars to get started on the renovation! But we still need dollars to complete this renovation as well as continue to maintain all three buildings.
