Veterans Center Sidewalk Project

Provide a $100 donation to help construct an accessible sidewalk on East Gore Blvd adjacent to the Veterans Center and your gift will be acknowledged by a brick placed within the sidewalk etched with your name, a meaningful inscription, or dedicated in honor or memory of a loved one.

The Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority in conjunction with the City of Lawton is accepting donations to construct a 6-foot wide sidewalk along East Gore Blvd from SE Flower Mound Road to NE 20th Street. Many of the veterans living at the Veterans Center located on the southwest corner of SE Flower Mound Rd and East Gore Blvd have expressed their frustration in the lack of accessible sidewalks near the center, which effectively confines them to the center grounds. They stressed that even though they could schedule a bus ride to nearby restaurants and businesses, they really wanted the ability reach them on their own and at their convenience.

These bricks will provide a lasting legacy of your support for our veterans and our community.
