Friends of Senior & Scout Community Center

Friends of Senior & Scout Community Center is dedicated to raising funds to build a new Senior and Scout Community Center in downtown Manhattan Beach at the site of the current Scout House. Built by volunteers in 1952, the existing 2,300 square foot Scout House is at the end of its useful life and no longer meets the needs of our Scouts and Seniors. The new facility will be a two-story, 7,000 square foot Community Center with multiple meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen, and plenty of storage. The outdoor courtyard will expand the usable space and will feature amphitheater-style seating, a firepit, and a BBQ area.

Proposed rendering of the new Senior and Scout Community Center

We invite you to become a permanent part of this exciting project by purchasing a commemorative brick to be incorporated in the courtyard of the new building. The bricks may be personalized with names, dates, and special messages. Honor your family, troop, or pack; remember a loved one; commemorate a special occasion; or simply leave a lasting connection to the Scout House.

Honor an Eagle Scout or Gold Award Girl Scout with a brick and it with be placed in a special designated area. We highly recommend that you include the Eagle Scout or Gold Award clip art on your brick.
