Wildwood Park Advisory Council

In 2017, the Wildwood Park Advisory Council set out to create a Nature Play Space at our park. Since then, through fundraising and a helpful grant, we have successfully installed Phase 1 of the space!

We are now looking to fund Phase 2, which includes many more features to inspire open ended interactions with and appreciation for nature!

Families who wish to support the work of the Wildwood PAC can order a brick to be laid near the entrance to the nature play space. Funds from the brick sales will go towards the next phase of the nature play space project. 

The Wildwood PAC is a group of community volunteers that works to improve park property and facilities and builds community by hosting events in the park.  The Wildwood PAC hosts Earth Day and It's Your Park Day park clean-up and mulching events and an annual winter tree lighting!  During 2017-2018 the Wildwood PAC worked alongside the Chicago Park District, Alderman Napolitano's office, and the community to design and build a beautiful new playground.  We were awarded a grant from the Chicago Park District to create a nature play space in 2019 and we look forward to completing this project.
