The Be Well
Adult Day Center (center) is designed to serve older adults by promoting
dignity, well-being, and meaningful community connection. The program will
offer a structured, supportive environment that enhances quality of life for
participants while providing essential respite for caregivers and families.
Daily programming will include activities that foster engagement, enjoyment,
and a sense of belonging.

BWADC will
operate as a full-day program, five days per week, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The program will emphasize participant choice, dignity, and individualized
support. Activities will be designed to celebrate aging, reduce isolation, and
challenge age-based stereotypes, while connecting participants to essential
community resources. The center will be located in the classroom wing of the
Ukiah United Methodist Church, which includes five spacious rooms with outdoor
views. These rooms will support activities tailored to varying levels of
ability and need. Planned offerings include art, music, games, writing and
journaling, gardening, rest periods, and social engagement. Participants will
be encouraged to choose activities based on their interests, with guidance from
staff and volunteers.
