We
live in a military town with many of our members being military, or former
military members, or government civilians in support of our military. This
memorial is an expression to our community and the world of who we are as a
congregation and the fact that we are a church that supports the values that
make America a great country and we support the men and women that serve to
uphold those values. The Bible verse John 15:13 reminds us that God identifies self-sacrifice
as the greatest love we can show our fellow man, lest we ever forget.

memorial is dedicated by the grateful members of Central Baptist Church to
preserve and honor the memory of our brave men and women who have so selflessly
served our great nation in times of peace and conflict. All gave some.
Some gave all. We will Never Forget. John 15:13”
A
plaque will be on a marker at the base of the flag with this engraved in
bronze.
Any
member of CBC is eligible to purchase a brick for this memorial. Additionally,
any member is eligible to sponsor a non-member in the purchase of a brick or
bricks for this memorial. The brick may be named for anyone that is a veteran
of the military services of our country, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast
Guard, and now Space Force. Those named on the brick can be living or dead,
member or not a member. They just have to have served in our armed forces. It
is their sacrifice & service we are memorializing.
