Charlottesville Catholic School, in partnership with parents, strives to actively engage students while nurturing each child’s spiritual, academic, physical, and social development. We create an environment where Christ is the daily role model for students to learn values, become engaged citizens, and make moral decisions throughout their lives. We are passionate about combining superior teaching strategies with resources that are vital to achieving academic success.

In order to continue this mission, we are currently raising funds through the Preparing Our Children For Tomorrow Campaign to establish a STEAM Center, fund an Endowment, and construct facility enhancements. We hope you will purchase a brick to support our campaign as we build on our strong foundation to prepare our children for tomorrow, and ready them to embrace their world through lives of faith, service, and leadership.

We greatly appreciate all of our supporters, as we work towards our Capital Campaign goals. All bricks will be prominently displayed on the front walkway entrance of the school (see picture below), as a way to thank and honor our benefactors.

We would like to share some additional information regarding the STEAM Center, Facility Enhancements, and the Endowment below. If you have additional questions about this fundraiser, please contact Patty Gazewood in the Charlottesville Catholic School Development Office at

The STEAM Center & Facility Enhancements:

Construct a two story, 6,000 square feet, wing of the school to house a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEAM) Center that will:

-Provide custom lab space for teaching and experimentation at both elementary and middle school grade

-Launch a diocesan STEAM-focused science curriculum for all grades.

-Prepare our students for success in high school by meeting the rapid expansion of the science academies in our local secondary schools.

-Enhance the overall curriculum by transferring the same hands-on, inquiry based learning style that is a natural vehicle for science into other fields across the curriculum to inspire critical thinking and problem-solving.

-Significantly enhance the school’s ability to recruit outstanding students and teachers

-Build an appropriate performance space that will facilitate student presentations integral to our curriculum and thereby allow St. Dunstan’s Chapel to become a sacred space to house the Eucharist.

-Upgrade the kitchen facility to allow for healthy, on-site food preparation.

The Capital Campaign will aim to fund a $2 million Endowment aimed at providing long-term financial sustainability and ongoing support of critical areas that will include, but are not limited to:

                     -Professional faculty development

                     -Endowed faculty positions

-Academic resource enhancement and program development to support a STEAM focused science                                           curriculum and hands-on, inquiry based learning.
