Paving
the way for HOPE
Crossroads Hope Academy is a nonprofit home for foster boys who have had multiple failed placements in the Florida foster care system. We take in these boys, between 12 and 17 years of age, and offer them a stable home – for most it is the first stable home they have ever known. Our specially trained staff and counselors work to retrieve these kids from despair and help them grow and transition into well-adjusted and self-sufficient adults.
We receive an average of 93 placement referrals every month for our current 24-bed facility on Bermont Road. Of
those, we can only take in 4-6 new youth every month. But with our purchase of
the former Compass Center at 2208 Castillo Avenue, Punta Gorda, a 13,000 square
foot residential facility on 5 acres, we will be doubling our capacity within
the following year! We are planning to open our second campus in September
2022, once we have completed building renovations and updates to turn it into a
warm and inviting home for our boys.
Later this year we will be installing a brick pavement entryway to our new building, and we would like to invite you to leave your legacy at our new campus by participating in our Pavers for Hope fundraiser. Honor your friends and family, remember a loved one, or promote your business/organization by purchasing a custom engraved brick paver to be permanently installed at our entryway (between the two planters). We are offering three different brick sizes and engravings may be customized to include your business logo or other clip art image. You may also order a replica keepsake tile for your home or office, which is a smaller version of your engraved brick on a beautiful 4x4 black granite tile. Examples are shown below.
Thank you for your interest in our Pavers for Hope fundraiser. In addition to supporting ongoing renovations and beautification projects at our new campus, your participation in this fundraiser will help show the boys of Crossroads how much our community cares for them and their futures for years to come.
