Paving
the way for HOPE
Crossroads Hope Academy is a nonprofit home for foster boys who have had
multiple failed placements in the Florida foster care system. We take in these
boys, between 12 and 17 years of age, and offer them a stable home – for most
it is the first stable home they have ever known. Our specially trained staff
and counselors work to retrieve these kids from despair and help them grow and
transition into well-adjusted and self-sufficient adults.
We receive an average of 93 placement referrals every month, and until this past year, we only had 24 beds available for youth. In the spring of 2022, we purchased the former Compass Center at 2208 Castillo Avenue, Punta Gorda, a 13,000 square foot residential facility on 5 acres, doubling our capacity to serve foster boys in Florida. The first 6 boys moved into our new Nix Campus in October, and by January the campus was at capacity with 24 youth
Later this year, in recognition of its first year as a home to foster
youth, we will be installing a brick pavement entryway for the Nix Campus, and
we would like to invite you to leave your legacy by participating in our Pavers
for Hope fundraiser. Honor your friends and family, remember a loved one, or
promote your business/organization by purchasing a custom engraved brick paver
to be permanently installed at our entryway (between the two planters).
Thank you for your interest in our Pavers for Hope fundraiser. In addition to supporting ongoing renovations and beautification projects at our new campus, your participation in this fundraiser will help show the boys of Crossroads how much our community cares for them and their futures for years to come.
