The Forest County Humane Society has embraced its mission of
rescuing animals for the past 21 years. We are committed to being a shelter from the storm and a safe haven for
all companion animals by providing food, medical care and human
tenderness. By taking a firm stand
against animal cruelty and abuse, and through community education and adoption
services, we continue to enrich the lives of animals.
The Forest County Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill
shelter in the great north woods located in Crandon, Wisconsin. We rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out all
breeds of dogs and cats. Every animal is
given a thorough examination by a veterinarian before placing them in a loving
home and all animals are tested for Lyme disease, heartworm, feline leukemia
and other infectious or debilitating diseases. They are vaccinated, de-wormed and spayed or neutered. All animals are lovingly cared for until
being placed in their “fur-ever” family.

While our love and care knows no bounds, funding to maintain
our shelter and services is always a challenge. The Shelter does not receive county, state or federal funding so we do
are doing this Brick Project to raise funds for much-needed building
improvements, veterinarian care and animal enrichment. A new training facility is currently under
construction to provide space to give all dogs we see basic obedience training
and social skills to give them the best chance for adoption. We will also offer obedience training and
educational seminars to all citizens in Forest County. The bricks purchased are a lovely memorial to
much-loved animal companions and will become the walk-way pavement in front of
the new training center. Bricks can be
purchased for placement in the walkway or for personal memorials. Please consider purchasing a brick or two to
commemorate your favorite animals while helping to support the Forest County
Humane Society!

We would like to give you the option of taking your memorial
brick home with you and not placing it in our project. If you would like to take advantage of this
option, you need to note “Picking up
brick” in the comment section of the online order form and brochure. If you choose “Picking up brick” you will be responsible for picking up your brick,
at our shelter, within 60 days of being notified that it has arrived. We will
not ship any bricks to you. Any
bricks not picked up in that time frame will be put into our project.
Bricks ordered with no comment made
in the “comment” sections will
automatically be put in our project.
