Friends of Wimberley Parks

The City of Wimberley is putting on a community fundraising campaign for a new playground at Martha Knies Community Park. Fill out the form below to design and purchase a custom brick that will be laid on a sidewalk at Martha Knies Community Park. This is a great way to honor a loved one, congratulate someone, or just create a memory that you can come back to and visit for years to come. The added bonus is that the money spent will go directly to the cost of replacing the playground at Martha Knies Community Park.

The new playground will feature:

- a nature-inspired, environmental education-themed, red-shouldered hawk with a climbing wall on its back;

- uses real wood and durable, wood-like synthetic materials for longevity and safety;

- meets all ADA accessibility and playground safety standards; and

- serves a wide range of ages, with inclusive play elements and seating
