We are happy to announce the construction of an Honor Patio
within Hardscrabble, a place where residents will be able to purchase engraved
bricks in honor, celebration or memory of those beloved Hardscrabble residents,
past and present, who have enriched their lives and the Hardscrabble Community.
This project upgrades and improves the current space and elements near the
Little Library and meets the inspired requests of many neighbors to memorialize
past residents. Phase 1 of the project will include the sale of the
bricks and the construction of the patio itself, with construction commencing
in 1Q2025.
The funds generated by the sale of the bricks will finance
the second phase, where we add the planters and plantings, providing a quiet,
semi-private space to enjoy the pond, read a book from the Little Library, or
just connect with nature.
Below is the order form. The engraved bricks normally
sell for $125, but if the neighborhood purchases 100+, prior to construction,
we’ll save on installation and can offer them at $100 each. Order
ASAP (before March 31) to take advantage of the discounted price. Please
note there is space on the order form for additional donations to this
project, if you are so inclined. Pay via check to Hardscrabble HOA
and send those checks to Debbi Reach at 1116E Hardscrabble Drive.
