Hunger is a systemic problem that requires a holistic
solution. In Franklin County, an estimated 400,000 people struggle with food
insecurity. Food insecurity is living without reliable access to sufficient,
affordable nutritious food. Hunger and food insecurity are symptoms of poverty.
To meet the food security needs of Reynoldsburg and the East Side, HEART
(Helping Eastside and Reynoldsburg Thrive), a food bank supported by the Mid
Ohio Food Collective, is in the process of building a new facility to serve our
neighbors in the community. Each brick purchased will be used in the
construction of the walkways outside of the building and will display your
message to the neighbors and volunteers of HEART. The Black Sugar tiles will be
part of a donor recognition wall displayed inside the new facility at HEART.
You also have the opportunity to add your own logo or image to any of the
options listed below. All proceeds will go toward the Comprehensive Campaign to
fund the new building and help address food insecurity in our community at our
Market Style location.

The Market
Style Model is a holistic customer-centered Market offering more fresh food to
more people more often. Since HEART transitioned from a basic food pantry in
2019 to this market style model, we now serve between 1,200 and 1,500 families
each week. As such, we have outgrown our current space and with the support of
donors like the ones who will be purchasing bricks and tiles, we hope to move
into our new space by the end of 2025. Your brick or tile will help us to put food
into the hands of those in need and will allow us to adequately meet the
growing needs of families on the East side of Columbus.
Our Vision:
Modeling God’s Love, HEART Nourishes hungry neighbors with healthy nutritious
food today, connects them to life building resources for tomorrow so they can
flourish for a lifetime.
HEART Food
Pantry, Inc. is a Christian based organization created by the Reynoldsburg
Ministerial Association to address food insecurity in our community.
