Hillel's Early Childhood Center (ECC) is an integral part of our school, allowing our youngest learners the opportunity to be actively engaged in their environment as they develop. Hillel's ECC opened in 2010 and shortly thereafter achieved NAEYC (The National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation and 4 stars from Great Start to Quality from the State of Michigan (one of the only local Jewish preschools to meet these high standards and best practices for early childhood education on both the state and national level).
As a result of its outstanding program, Hillel expanded and renovated its ECC in 2019, allowing more Jewish children to experience the gift of a Hillel early childhood program. Students and guests approaching the new facility are welcomed by a beautiful courtyard that is created from personalized bricks placed in students', teachers', and families honor.
We invite you to leave a permanent mark at the school by purchasing a brick in honor of a loved one, teacher and/or friend to be added to those already installed outside of our Early Childhood Center as part of the courtyard beautifying the expanded facility. Proceeds from the bricks go towards our endowment and ensure that Hillel will continue to meet the educational needs of our commuity for generations to come.
In the years to come, you will be able to bring your children and grandchildren to school to see their names as a permanent legacy of Hillel.
Individuals, as well as groups and organizations, may purchase a brick that will be engraved with a personalized message.
Bricks start $180 for a 4”x 8” brick and increase in size and amount. Where possible, multiple bricks from one family can be grouped together. Please indicate grouped bricks.
We invite you to honor a student, graduate, and/or family member by imprinting a brick or inscribe it as a gift for a favorite teacher or coach. All purchases and/or donations are tax deductible!

Although Hillel will make every effort to honor a donor’s wishes, Hillel reserves the right to approve all wording and design on the bricks.
