"The
LZ-Grace Memorial Path and Quarter Deck will be paved entirely with Memorial
and Honor Bricks and lead to the Warrior Fire Pit, a place of solace and
fellowship at LZ-Grace."
Our Encounters Are Sacred
Warriors come to LZ-Grace seeking post combat deployment
support. Our program is designed to provide a confidential and secure
place for Warriors to decompress so they can reenter family and civilian life with
purpose. Through nurturing support, peer mentoring, recreation-based therapies,
life skills instruction and post transition planning, healing and a solid new
beginning will be found through and with each other.
Individuals, couples and families of Special Operation
Forces are invited to attend at separate times. Once we are
fully operational, Three and Seven day programs will be offered at no cost
to the participants and personalized for each group in attendance.
Since the acquisition of the property in June 2014, 193
active duty Special Operations Forces and veterans, as well as Tier
One Safety Personnel have come to LZ-Grace to participate in
activities, have a meal around the table, fellowship at the fire pit, or a
quiet moment to talk. Many have returned monthly
as volunteers to help us clean, renovate, build and repair.
During this uncertain economy, one thing is certain: investing in the well-being of our Special Operations Forces Warriors returning home is the best investment we can make. Your support of this project will touch their lives, their families’ lives and the lives of all they influence at home and throughout the world.
At present, the non-profit does not have any paid employees
and will not until funding is complete and our Warriors are being served.
