The Mohawk Hudson Humane
Society is the oldest humane society in the Capital Region. It is also the
location of the only pet cemetery in the area. There are hundreds of stones
dating as far back as the 1940s.
We have begun a cemetery
revitalization project and have expanded the cemetery to provide community
members with a special place to honor their pets who have crossed the Rainbow
Bridge. We invite you to commemorate these treasured friends with a
personalized paver on our memorial walkway.
Please note that the pavers are produced once a year, typically in July. We then install the pavers in our walkway and invite those who have purchased them to attend a dedication ceremony in September. You will receive an email invitation for this ceremony once the date and time have been set.
MHHS’ pet cemetery and
memorial path stand as a testament to the enduring bond between humans and
animals, offering a peaceful haven for remembrance while supporting vital local
animal welfare initiatives. Thank you.

You can purchase a brick with text only or with clip art for $135.00 each!
