Norman Township Veterans Memorial Project
Norman Township, in
partnership with several local organizations, has constructed a Veterans
Memorial in the park at Crystal Lake located near the new playground equipment. To date a cement slab has been installed
as well as a large central flag pole flanked by smaller poles on each side flying the branches of the armed forces. An art piece commissioned by the Wellston Boosters was created and installed by local artist
Andy Priest. The next phase
of the memorial is to invite community members to purchase bricks in
honor of or remembrance of family members and/or friends that have served in
any branch of the military or first responders.
