The
Sarah A. Mooney Museum
542
West D Street, Lemoore California
The beautiful
Victorian-style house built by Aaron and Sarah Mooney in 1893 was donated to
the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce in 1973 by Sarah’s granddaughter to be kept as
a Museum in memory of her beloved grandmother.
The Museum has been in
continuous operation since 1974, transporting its visitors back in time to the
turn of the century to experience the lifestyle of the early 1900’s --- with
its vintage furnishings and artifacts, historical documents, and the histories
of our local pioneer families. The
Museum offers free docent-led tours, school field trips, and hosts various
small events. The Museum has been sustained
over the past forty plus years by generous donations from the community.
In early 2016 the Museum Board of Directors adopted an ambitious 5-year General Plan to expand the accessibility, scope, and usage of the Museum’s outbuildings and beautiful tree-shaded grounds. The sale of engraved bricks is one facet of the capital campaign to fund the various projects of the General Plan.

The bricks will be added
to existing engraved bricks along the Museum walkways. Museum guests always enjoy looking at the
names of Museum supporters from the past, and this is an opportunity to
memorialize your family, your business or organization. It is also a way to honor a loved one who has
passed on with an “In Memory of” brick.
There will be a dedication ceremony when the first group of bricks are
installed later this year. All brick donors
will receive an invitation to this special event.
If you have questions
regarding the bricks, you may call Lynda at 559-381-3844.
