The Save the Northfield Depot project is to preserve and renovate the 1888 depot by moving it to a highly visible and accessible site. It is an attractive building that will be used by community members and visitors alike with local artwork, railroad history, information about Northfield, and public restrooms in the interior. Outside areas will become a sculpture garden, a people and bike shelter, and a pavilion for events such as weddings, art shows and musical performances. It will be a transportation center for buses, taxis, bicycles and maybe even small electric cars to rent. Proceeds from the paver sales will be used to help complete the renovations, build the sculpture garden, pavilion and landscaping.
Pavers are being
sold now with installation expected in the summer of 2017. Delivery of
the pavers is expected next summer just in time for installation.
The paver is wholly tax deductible and the replica tile is partially tax deductible.
Will you share your
reasons for buying a paver? May we have permission to share this story on
our website and in our promotional materials? Please let us know on the next
page in the comments section! We’d love to hear from you!
The pavers will be installed in the sculpture garden and paths during the summer of 2017.
