The Shelter Cove Arts and Recreation Foundation (SCARF)
is delighted to announce that they have broken ground on a meditative labyrinth.
The Labyrinth is being built next to the lower nature trail on Upper Pacific where it meets Lower Pacific. The center pole (a carved 2-foot-wide, 16+ foot tall redwood trunk) was set on November 1st and has carved images of sea life and nature in Shelter Cove. Please see the attached concept drawing, created by Darcie Maassen and Venessa Kay, along with other pictures of other labyrinths, and progress thus far on ours.
This is the most ambitious project that SCARF has undertaken, and we will NEED YOUR HELP!
This is an expensive project and SCARF is doing a number of things to raise funds. One way is to offer a limited number of pavers that will be installed on the entrance path. Below is a sample of an 8” x 4” Paver. You can order one with an image and text for $70, and 15 characters per line (like the sample below), or you can order one with text only (20 characters per line) for $50. There are hundreds of images to choose from. If you want an image, note the code number, and put it on the order form on this website.
SCARF is a 501c3 non-profit California tax exempt corporation. Your purchase is tax deductible tax id# 80-0874496
