Dear Tennyson Families, Friends of Tennyson and Tennyson Alumni,

Tennyson Middle School PTA is excited to commence a new fundraising effort this year we’re calling the Legacy Brick Project!  Our hope is that this new venture will not only raise money for our beloved school, but that it will become a long-lasting Tennyson Texan tradition!

What is the Legacy Brick Project?

It is a fundraiser offering you the opportunity to support TMS and Atlas Academy and leave a lasting imprint on the school.  Tennyson PTA will be selling engraved brick pavers that will become a permanent part of the school grounds. Your brick paver can be engraved with your personalized wishes. Our website provides the design tools needed to personalize your brick. Here are some examples:

Brick with text only (4”x8”) - $35 donation

Brick with text and clip art (4”x8”) - $50 donation

Brick for business or school partners(12”x12”) - $300 donation

If would like to buy a matching 4x4 tile to take home, the tile will cost $25.

All donations are tax deductible.

Brick orders with designs deemed inappropriate will not be accepted.

Who is invited to take part in the Legacy Brick Project?

 Everyone who loves Tennyson Middle School is invited to participate.

        *School clubs, classes, teams or groups of friends can buy a brick to commemorate their time together at TMS. 

       *Parents (past and present) and friends of Tennyson can buy a brick in honor of a TMS or Atlas Academy student or graduate. 

       *Businesses, School Partners and community members  can buy a brick with their logo on it to represent their support of TMS.  

Where will the bricks be laid?

The bricks will be laid in the common area in front of the school providing the students with a mud-free place to gather while waiting for their rides after school.  (See photo.)

The first impression these bricks will give visitors of Tennyson will be a warm and welcoming one, presenting the school as one with a strong sense of community, history and Tennyson Texan pride!  

We will work our way around the school with the bricks beautifying it’s exterior and documenting middle school memories for many years to come.

When are we taking orders and laying the bricks?

Our 2018/2019 Brick-Laying Celebration will be held on May 9th, 2019. Your brick order must be in by February 22nd if you would like for your brick to be laid in time for the first reveal. However, orders will be taken on a continual basis.

Why should you take part in the Legacy Brick Project?

Buying a commemorative brick is a wonderful way for you and your family or business to demonstrate support of our students and your commitment to educational excellence at Tennyson Middle School and Atlas Academy.  

All proceeds will help fund school improvements that promote academic and social growth, technology, literacy, teacher aid and appreciation, campus beautification, safety and communication between parents, students and teachers.   

Again, all donations are tax exempt.

With funds raised last year, the PTA is buying the campus a new electronic sign for the front of the school to better keep all of us informed about upcoming dates and events. One of the PTA’s goals is to get 100% parental involvement, and we believe that communication is key!

So make your mark on Tennyson with a Legacy Brick, and be a part of launching this new Tennyson Texan Tradition!  Help pave the way to a brighter future for each and every student at TMS!
