The Ark Family Preservation Center (“The Ark”) is located
in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Serving a 10-county area since 2014, The Ark’s
mission is to heal, to equip, and to empower families. We do that
through “on-the-job” training and modeling of warm, nurturing ways of
responding to children. We also provide mental health treatment in order for
healing bonds to form strong attachments. The results are stunning: more
effective parents and a wholesome, functioning family.
Almost an acre of land is being developed for
The Ark’s Clinkenbeard Gardens on The Ark campus. Throughout history, we have
understood that nature has therapeutic value: relaxation, deepening our
spirituality, and healing our bodies and minds. These gardens provide a
protected, restorative area to be used by children, parents, and staff. When
completed, the area will include trees, flowering shrubs, benches, statuary,
walking paths, a pavilion, green spaces, and playground equipment.
