As a community, we want to honor our veterans that have sacrificed so much for our country.
We are developing a memorial park to be located on approximately 1 1/2 acres on highway 114 in Boyd. This park will be used to honor our veterans and their families for their sacrifices in serving our great country.
We encourage everyone to participate in making this park, the best in Wise County, either by donating, purchasing a brick, helping with planning, helping with the construction, etc. We have a place for everyone to participate !
We encourage you to attend our meetings, held at the Boyd Community Center on the third Monday of each month and join our Facebook page; City of Boyd Veteran Memorial Park.
MISSION STATEMENT OF VETERAN MEMORIAL PARK OF BOYD
To construct a Veteran's memorial park, in tribute to those who perished, in honor of those who served, and in gratitude to those serving, in our United States Armed Forces, and in recognition of the sacrifices made by their families. To provide an environment for reflection, education, and community cohesiveness through events, celebrations, and ceremonies.
