One of the most exciting things about beginning a brick fundraiser is finding ways to get your donors involved. Making sure that your donors have an enjoyable experience while working with your organization is key. Word of mouth is an essential ingredient to a successful fundraiser, especially if you are living in a small town. When doing a brick campaign for a farm, the possibilities are endless to make sure your donors have a wonderful time while contributing to your organization.
HOST A YOGA PARTY
One of the latest and greatest things that farms have been doing to raise funds is hosting goat yoga parties. Whether people are coming for the yoga, the goats, or both, this idea is sure to be a hit. Most farms charge anywhere from $10-$20 per person that attends the class. Instead of charging for attendance, you can offer the class for free or at a discount with an engraved brick purchase.
DO A PUMPKIN PATCH
Now that fall has officially begun, a pumpkin patch is a perfect way to draw in a crowd. Since most families want to purchase multiple pumpkins, having brochures at your check-out booth will be an efficient way to get in the word about your brick fundraiser. If you want to take it a notch further, you can also offer on-site carving at your farm to involve all those who purchased a pumpkin from you.
ALLOW DONORS TO GET FRUITS/VEGGIES
Regardless of the time of year, fruits and vegetables are almost always in abundance if you own a farm. Similar to the concept of the goat yoga class, you can offer a pound or two of produce in return or at a discount for a brick order.
