Entering a New Year is exciting for a multitude of reasons, one of the biggest being its fresh start. If you currently are doing a brick fundraiser or have been considering starting one, the best time to fundraise is now.
SET FUNDRAISING GOALS FOR YOURSELF
Beginning a fundraiser in January is optimal because you can keep track of your progress throughout the months by doing a monthly check. For instance: if your goal is to have a total of 1200 bricks by the end of the year, make sure that you market yourself enough to sell approximately 100 bricks per month.
USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO REACH OUT
If you have social media, take advantage of all its platforms. For example, create an Instagram or Facebook account for your organization’s fundraiser to give your donors and local community updates. You can also reach out to locals by commenting on your” Buy a Brick” program efforts or by posting on local group pages.
CREATE EXPLANATORY BROCHURES
A comprehensive brochure is key to motivating the donors. An attractive brochure needs to have all the information a brick sponsor has to learn about your brick campaign. You can pass these out through neighborhoods, leave them on bulletin boards, put them on the front desk in an office, etc.
PUT AN AD IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER
While doing this might cost a little of your profit, it will attract numerous donors that might have been unreachable before. Maximum exposure for your brick campaign will create curiosity and will sell your engraved bricks.
