This year’s theme for Veterans Day is a quote from Abraham Lincoln along with the VA Motto. The quote reads “To care for him who shall have borne the battle…” How do we care for our Veterans?
We support our troops, through benefits paid through our taxes and private contributions through donations. Organizations like the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as well as private organizations like the American Legion, VFW Posts, AMVETS and other military associations raise money each year through membership fees and their brick fundraising efforts.
According to Charity Navigator, over $2.5 billion dollars are donated yearly to charities with military-related missions.
How can your Veterans organization utilize an engraved brick or custom engraved tile project to raise additional funds?
- Engraved brick fundraisers honoring those who served or are currently serving not only help to honor our veterans but also help raise much-needed monies. The funds raised by veteran organizations help provide for medical treatment and medical expenses, pay for housing and help to financially support our veterans and their family members.
- Engraved bricks can be used to create walkways, plazas, walls, and surrounding monuments and statues. Family members of our fallen soldiers and those who served can honor them by purchasing a laser engraved brick with the military member’s name, date of service and military branch. Polar Engraving can engrave custom logos and clip art including military seals, emblems, and ranks
- Custom engraved wall tiles may also be used to create donor walls in both exterior spaces and interiors. The tiles are also a great flooring option for interior spaces.
