Veterans Memorial Walk at the
Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Park

OPERATION DRAGONFLY was formed in 2015 to secure an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter and to build a memorial park to honor Captain Hampton‘s service and sacrifice.  The park will be constructed on the southern side of the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library located on 304 Biltmore Road in Easley, South Carolina.

Dale and Ann Hampton are supportive of the OPERATION DRAGONFLY efforts.  Members of the Pickens County Council, Easley Mayor Larry Bagwell, Representative Neal Collins, U.S. Congressman Jeff Duncan, U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott are very supportive of OD hard work to make this park happen. The OH-58D Kiowa Warrior has been decommissioned and U.S. Senator Graham and his staff are leading the efforts to secure a helicopter for the memorial park.
The Veterans Memorial Walk will honor all five branches of the US military (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard) who have served our great nation.  OPERATION DRAGONFLY encourages the residents of Pickens County to honor the dedication of the many American service members whose sacrifices contribute to the protection of our great country.

The Veterans Memorial Walk at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Park is placed here for three purposes.
To Honor the men and women who are in the Armed Forces protecting our country currently.
To Remember those who served and gave their all for their country.
And to Teach the next generations that our freedoms are not free but come with a sacrifice.
The Veterans Memorial Walk will be the main walk leading directly to the Captain Kimberly Memorial, the centerpiece of the park.
The 4 x 8 tan bricks are laser engraved and allow three lines of text.
The border bricks along the edges of walk will be 8 x 8 tan bricks and are reserved for Sponsors.

Upstate Warrior Solution has provided encouragement for the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Park and has partnered with OPERATION DRAGONFLY as the 501c3.  The estimated cost of construction of the park project is one hundred fifty thousand dollars with the government furnishing the helicopter.
