Our High School 4H class at Amherst Christian Academy has decided to create a prayer garden. The prayer garden is an educational space, that can be used for solitude and prayer.
Our prayer garden will contain many
different areas with different, unique meanings to them. Four sections divide
our garden and represent the four integral parts of the Christian redemptive
story. Creation is represented by plants like grapevines, fig trees, and
perennial fruits and vegetables. The fall of man is displayed in another
section with an apple tree. The final two sections are the crucifixion and
resurrection. The crucifixion is represented by a rose-covered cross. The
resurrection garden contains an all white flower garden.
