Melbourne`s Time Travelers` Society

The Melbourne High “Walk of Alumni” is a set of tiles placed in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The tiles were meant to be placed on a wall, but due to ongoing construction and miscommunication, the tiles were placed on the ground. As part of a Melbourne’s Time Travelers’ Society historic preservation/campus beautification project, we are replacing the current tiles on the ground with new ones that will be installed this time on the exterior wall of a classroom building.

Thousands of tiles were produced, however only around 747 exist today. We hope to raise funds to reprint the tiles and add more tiles for future students to see the people who once attended Melbourne High. Melbourne High has a strong relationship with its alumni, many of which came back to the school as teachers, coaches, or administrative members. The new MHS “Wall of Alumni” aims to showcase the students who helped shape Melbourne High into the school it is today.
